DenimX Hard Pressed Sheet

Description
These sheets consist of a compound of recycled denim (cotton) and bio-based polymer and when heat pressed, these materials fuse together to create a strong and sturdy sheet that can be used for many different purposes.
Processing
– Can be 3D formed using a double-sided heat press mold (not possible in post-production)
– Can be laminated with a wide variety of backings
– Suited for hydro cutting, laser cutting and engraving

Thickness: ±1.3 mm
Surface finish: smooth/slightly textured

DenimX Felt

These sheets consist of a compound of recycled denim (cotton) and polyester fibres, and when combined form a very soft and flexible material. Our felt is very suitable for padding and fashion accessories, e.g. laptop and shopper bags.

– Suited for laser cutting and hydro cutting

DenimX Woven Band

Description
After extensive research and development, DenimX and its carefully selected partner were able to create our own recycled denim yarn. Using a special weaving technique we are able to create a dual coloured band, fit for e.g. bag straps, lanyards and waistbands.
Customisations
– A message can be woven into the band using the secondary colour. Primary and secondary colour can be swapped upon request.
– The band can be produced in several widths (e.g. 16 mm, 22 mm, 30 mm)

Using our own yarn, made from recycled jean fibers, we are to create sustainable braided cords in a variety of different colours. From luxurious bracelets to stylish shoelaces, this material can be used for all sorts of applications.

DenimX Stone Felt (NIKE Ref.)

Our collaboration with Nike resulted in this marble grey felt, made from recycled footbal shirts, which was used to create acoustic wall panels. We offer our own version of this material with the same aesthetics, but made using recycled polyester.

DenimX’ Material’s Look & Feel
LOOK
DenimX is versatile in colour, finish and composition and provides products with a unique look and feel. DenimX’ key characteristic is its capability to tell the story behind its visible recycled fibers.
DenimX’ aesthetics are carefully designed to maintain the value of what jeans have always meant to us. The jeans fibers remain distinguishable at all times while its fibre structure creates the depth that causes intrigue by the look and feel of DenimX.
FEEL
Due to its various finishing possibilities, DenimX is able to create different haptic experiences. The feel of our material may vary between hard pressed plastic panels (e.g. Trespa like materials) and soft fleece cloth.
One often heard remark regarding our felt like materials: it provokes the viewer to touch the material and feel its textile content.
COLORS
All DenimX base materials are available in the characteristic indigo blue colour of jeans. Also we use denim black in our colour collection since these colours are widely available. If volumes are high enough, DenimX is able to sort and process fractions of recycled jeans or other types of garments.
FINISHES
Touch, finish and texture have an enormous impact on the user experience. DenimX is able to finish materials that vary from mat to shiny, from felt to smooth, from linen to leather-like textures and from non-slip to 3D embossed or printed graphics. Thus providing clients and consumers a wide range of possibilities.
